TV Series

I'm going to be laughed at for saying this, but if you want something to watch that is funny, has fantastic characters, well written and thought provoking... watch One Punch Man.

It's anime but like nothing else in the genre. I don't like much of it to be honest. First few seasons of Attack on Titan is good too but, honestly, give One Punch Man a chance.

A funny anime on Netflix I'd recommend is Saiki K if you're feeling it.

I’m having to watch Hanna after Godless. I have a feeling it’s going to be dink. Can anyone confirm or deny this please?

Missus has been watching Hanna and I've caught a few bits and bobs. It looks like they've took the holidaying family part from the movie and then extended that into a Hollyoaks drama replete with tedious teen love triangle....with the odd action set piece in there.

And there are some woeful American accents in there from a couple of British actors. I've not got a great ear for the nuance of American accents but they're obviously terrible even to me. Quite how it got past casting is beyond me.

But to be fair I've not sat and watched it...just some very obvious shortcomings from limited exposure.

Christ. I’ve made my lass watch godless with me and now it’s her choice ffs

War of the Worlds - zzzzzzzz so boring. 100 year old Gabriel Byrne and 150 year old woman from Downton Abbey. French people saying obvious things.
The Affair - Lots of rooting and some tooting. Good performances, McNulty is a very good actor.
Zerozerozero - So many different locations, incredible scale, really underwhelming ending to a pretty solid story.
