TV Series

Anyone fancy a light-hearted comedy? I just finished the first season of Superstore on Netflix and it's quite good. Set in a supermarket in St. Louis, vaguely Scrubs / Brooklyn 9-9 style. Aside from the lass who played the lead in Ugly Betty, there's no-one in it I recognise.

Just started Midnight Diner: Tokyo Stories on Netflix.

It's great. It's about a chef that opens his noodle bar 12-6am. It's just him cooking and chatting to the few customers and them chatting amongst themselves. It's fictional.

I'm probably describing it badly. It feels a bit like being at the bar in your local. Different characters, stories etc.

This sounds weird but I get what you mean. I have cut down on a 20 a day ciggie habit to 4 a day .I went on Youtube and boarded a full flight noise n'll from LA to Paris. lol I'm flying Paris to Vancouver tomorrow 11 hours.Hoping to get the ciggies down to 3 lol

I know we're meant to hate him but this is apparently pretty good

5 episodes into the Stand now, still dont know if I like it,could be bias as its my favourite King book and I have pictured how the characters look and sound so its difficult to shift my mindset from that, though it is doing a reasonable job of trying to capture the book
Most of his early books don't translate well to the big screen. I love 'The Green Mile' so much because the film is, IMHO, as good as the book. Similarly, Shawshank as a film is amazing given that the story is a novella.

One of my favourite King books is Firestarter. The relationship (in the book) between the father and daughter moved me but it didn't really come across in the film.
