It’s basic stuff. Could probably read a paragraph of backstory. The first episodes were excellent and unlike anything I’ve seen so worthwhile doing
I think Spiral is brilliant. Watched it from when series 1 first appeared. As well as effective, topical storylines and great characters it gives a really good understanding of how the French legal system works. One of my favourite series ever.
I was a bit put off by this but I suppose it's a necessary focus switch for an episode or two. The reveals that we knew were largely theories, albeit largely correct, but theories all the same and certain stuff like the beekeeper, colour helicopter and other bits and bobs deserved a clear explanation.
The identity of Monica Rambeau and other bits was only known due to meta-knowledge such as who had been cast as her further down the Phase 4 pipeline. The show still needs to tell the story within the framework of the show rather than assuming everyone has a knowledge of casting and who did what in the comics. It's also introducing characters and moving them around in preparation for the cinematic element of Phase 4.
I think it's possibly beneficial to do a clean break for this part rather than then try and cram it in at the expense of full sit-com style episodes which I think will come back in soon. 9 episodes and one decade per sitcom ep means they have plenty of space to do so.

I watched Episode 1 the other night. Not in a mood for anything heavy at present.
I'd never in a million years choose this in normal circumstances but worringly it did the job and distracted me from the world for 25 minutes.

After a concerted effort since new year, I'm a mere six episodes from the end of Breaking Bad.
Thanks to all who told me to settle in for the long haul. I'm sure I stop breathing during some of the scenes.
I'll do two episodes tonight, tomorrow and Wednesday when at least I'll have something to take my mind of us playing that evening.

And my advice would be don't stop there either. Move on to Better Call Saul once you've finished.
It's a controversial opinion, but I think I've started to enjoy it more than BB. Just disappointed there's only 1 more series to come.
