TV Series

I did really enjoy the 1st series, thought it was funny, well written and acted,I think with the gap between the first and second series I just found it difficult to get back into it,I might give it another go but start again at series 1

I would mate, watch it all back to back.

It’s totally daft, but great fun and Drew Barrymore / Timothy Olyphant are a perfect double act as the leads.

Watched the first one last night, it was a bit disappointing tbh.

Feels very " padded out "

However, it does really raise your awareness of the plight of thousands of poor souls, that live in the immediate area of the hotel - Skid Row.

I always believed it was quite a small area, but in effect it`s a sprawling shanty town, populated by people with severe physical and mental disabilities, as well as the usual drug addicts and alcoholics.
I watched the first one last night. I had heard about the case when it happened and maybe seen the video once. Watching it again I see someone off their face on some substance or in a psychotic break. The way she goes straight in and hits all the buttons and how manic she seems when looking out the elevator all looks like someone on a trip to me.

When all the YouTubers and Web Sleuths give the running commentary over how creepy and strange it all is I just wonder why it was only the one detective who acknowledges that it might be she was on drugs. From the behaviour and the context of the neighbourhood and her background it seemed like the most likely answer at that point to me.

I'm curious enough to see if anything comes out to rule that out in the later episodes but it is what I think after just the first episode and seeing the video again.

I’ve just finished it mate.

It’s not the best Netflix have done and it’s not the worst.

I’ll let you make your own mind up.
