TV Series

Must say the acting in WandaVision is some of the best I’ve seen in a Marvel product.
The flipping between the sit-com acting and the real people in an instant is really well done. The last episode with Agnes asking about "going again" when Vision interuppting the scene was good. And the fella in the office when Vision broke through Wanda's control of him was excellent.

Yeh the Agnes scene was what made me write the comment. I love how the tone switches so quickly between sitcom and serious and back again. Really enjoying it and really enjoying them not releasing all episodes at once too.

5 episodes into Cobra Kai. Cheesy as hell.

Such a strange show, its basically a ultra cheesy high school teen drama like One Tree Hill or whatever and yet there are tons of 40 year old dudes who love it simply because now and then it chucks in the odd token reference to a film they loved when they were a kid.

It's popularity amongst adults is one of the strangest phenomena in tv history

I bet you're great fun at parties, it's a great family fun, yes it's cheesy but it brings back good memories and nostalgia.

Netflix always recommends it for me, although not sure why

Is it any good?

I enjoyed the first couple or so episodes for the nostalgia and references to Karate Kid but ditched it once I realised it's basically 80% One Tree Hill 20% Karate. If you're big fan of the original films you should probably give it a watch, that's why I originally gave it a chance.

reminder this is out on Netflix today

Watched the first one last night, it was a bit disappointing tbh.

Feels very " padded out "

However, it does really raise your awareness of the plight of thousands of poor souls, that live in the immediate area of the hotel - Skid Row.

I always believed it was quite a small area, but in effect it`s a sprawling shanty town, populated by people with severe physical and mental disabilities, as well as the usual drug addicts and alcoholics.

Isn't that the case with pretty much every Netflix doc/true crime story?

I've given up with them now. They can sound interesting but then they are set out in exactly the same way as every other.
