Watched first episode of Foundation. Very good, my god the budget must have been enormous

The reviews turned me right off that sadly.

For people who haven't read the Foundation books, it's written almost like an anthology. The story takes place over 500 - 1000 years, with no character lasting very long.

It was originally written in shorts and grouped together for the book. I thought it was a good start. Lee Pace and Harris superb, and the effects of the Space Elevator crash amazingly done for TV. IP like Foundation, Cowboy Bebop and Sandman could have really not have been made properly up till now, exciting to see how they fare.

Watched the first episode yesterday and it has the feel of Stephen King made for TV series.

Does it get better ?

I'm on the last episode, enjoyed it but it won't be for everyone.

Squid game is up there with the best tv shows I’ve ever seen imo

There’s about 4-5 actors in the show who were superb and should win awards for their performances

I love the Korean language as well it’s so funny to hear how they announciate words in such a whiny manner.

It's next on my list. Looking foward to it. Battle Royal was a classic.

Squid game was brilliant, loved everything about!

Saw some posts on here comparing it to Alice in Borderlands, so started watching that, have to say I think it is terrible and doesn't compare to squid game

Started watching it last night, it's my favorite thing for ages. It's like a cross between Takeshi's Castle, Clive James taking the piss of Endurance, Goodfellas & the brilliant Monkey (magic)...

thought it was poor - the whole premise they would send a civilian onto a nuclear sub is too farfetched for me

It sarted off OK, but Suranne Jones' character was thoroughly unlikeable, yet supposingly everyone believed the sun shone out her crack.
The last couple of episodes were just ridiculous, when she was in the tube I was praying the soft get would jus flush the borebag.
Suranne Jones ain't a good actress either.

I feel guilty for hoping she was flushed too. lol

I think the whole nation was rooting for her to get flushed, like some gigantic, broom faced turd.

It started of well, then just descended into a farce.

The flashback dream sequences, with her girlfriend, where just hilariously bad.

She can act, as she was magnificent in the recent drama, I Am Victoria, where she played a high flyer, going through a nervous breakdown.

It`s just that the script for Vigil, ended up as pure comedy.

Done with episode 5 now and yeah, I'm pretty confident i can recommend the series.

I am up to 5, it's good and my type of content. I won't say what as it might spoil it for people.

I finished yesterday, it's not bad though I kind of felt you could see exactly where the storyline was heading from the 1st episode

I`m really like the very slow, underlying, extremely creepy, sinister undertones, that are slowly but surely building up. It takes a real skill as a writer to do this and keep the viewers engaged at the same time. Plus it`s a new angle to come at the genre from too and that`s quite hard to do, given how well worn it is.

However, I should imagine quite a few will switch off as a result of how slow it is.

Same here, once you get past those first 2 episodes, it really becomes very enjoyable.

Glad I didn't read the reviews because they probably wouldnhave put me off too. But it is really good imo, some great performances and visually stunning
