Finished Squid Game last night. Thought it was pretty good without being really great. Quite a few little plot holes and the pacing was a bit wonky.

Also thought bringing in the VIP's was odd, awful acting and added very little to the story. The old man being the masteemind behind it too is ludicrous haha. Kept thinking, how're 400+ people going missing every year and nothing being done about it??

I've just watched episode 6 this morning. Wasn't expected to be as gripped as I am by a show that mashes Takeshi's Castle, hunger games, fall guys and saw together. But it works.

Subtitles and dubbed English are very different at times. And I read that a lot of the translation isn't great so we miss some important things in terms of character development etc.

If you watch foreign TV with English dubbing you need a slap.

I don't normally. But I'd already read about this show and the differences between the dubbing and the subs and that there is actually a lot missed in the subs.

Unfortunately, I'm not fluent in Korean either.

Starts to really get going at episode 4 and becomes very good.

I was thinking of binning it after 2 episodes and I`m glad I didn`t.

It`s good, but not a patch on Kingdom. ( no hats for starters )

Kingdom was excellent. Haven't seen The Prisoner. My friend said it was a bit like Circle, but I haven't watched that either.

Oh yeah, it's horrendous, but they often say more/very different things to the subs, some of which feels like it could be important.

Just came to this late it seems but its really good. Got that twisted dark comedy edge that a lot of far Eastern Horror efforts have . Up to episode 4 and nerves are gone for the characters I like.... stakes are really high by now...
