Really enjoyed my first ep of The Old Man. Very tense and a unique dynamic on the spy genre with a man not able to abuse his physicality.

That LOTR show is actually quite bland when all is said and done. Its still quite watchable but the story is just a very meh considering that we're past the halfway point of season one. Plus some of the lines and dialogue are just unforgiveably bad......?
On the list I might start it over the weekend.
There's lines exactly like this all over the films though. I think I'm enjoying it, I keep watching it every week.
Yeah and I hated those stupid lines in the films too. I'm not one of the Peter Jackson fanboys that think his films are above criticism. There's plenty wrong with them and some of the laughable lines and dialogue are part of it. That still doesn't excuse the show though. Nor does it make the thing less bland. I'm still watching because as I've said before, its not a bad show. Its just not very Tolkien or a good representation of work as far as I'm concerned. There's lines exactly like this all over the films though. I think I'm enjoying it, I keep watching it every week.
The Dahmer series on Netflix.
Well made, with some fantastic performances. Like many Netflix series, it was stretched out to more episodes than it needed to be, so lost its momentum as it went on, and last couple of episodes I started losing interest.
The episode centred around the deaf victim was the high point for me.

The interviews with Dahmer drop on Netflix next week. That will eradicate any sense of sympathy some weirdos have had with him after this current series.
Rings of Power ep 6.
WOW. That was brilliant episode.
