TV Series

Dahmer. Disturbing for sure. I’ve read all about him and other serial killers. Some with (many) more victims just as violent. But they don’t compare to what this guy was. There should be ZERO sympathy for him based on his upbringing. Plenty of people come from childhoods and difficult family situations, some MUCH worse than Dahmer’s and grow up to be ok. This guy was an out and out freak of nature, a complete psychopath and an evil b******. End of. He should never have been sent to jail, he should have been burned after he admitted to his crimes.

Great series.

On a lighter note….Andor is ridiculously good. The Best Star Wars content since the original trilogy.

The Rings of Power is great, it started of weird, but has got better.

I’m loving House of The Dragon!

Like yourself, I find serial killer stuff fascinating. I wondered before I started it if Ryan Murphy and Evan Peters would do justice to just how truly twisted and wicked Dahmer was.

They did. It was a great, albeit harrowing watch. The Tony Hughes episode stuck with me a while after seeing it.

Gacy next please, Netflix.

The Dahmer series on Netflix.

Well made, with some fantastic performances. Like many Netflix series, it was stretched out to more episodes than it needed to be, so lost its momentum as it went on, and last couple of episodes I started losing interest.

The episode centred around the deaf victim was the high point for me.
100%

At least 2 episodes worth of Netflix fluff.

I saw the 2002 Ted Bundy film many years ago and it left me feeling particularly gross. Dahmer didn’t do that for me, after Bundy I had a real feeing for what he did and how awful it was but after Dahmer not so much. I think it was a great performance but I don’t think he did a great job of conveying how sinister he was.

Just watched all three seasons of Deadwood. Loved the first and second, thought the third really lost its way with Brian Cox's character dominating too many episodes, felt like it got away from itself.

Underwhelmed by the ending, then it grew on me. Can see why it had such a following, much better than all this dragon and dwarf nonsense that is on now.

Never that keen on the ‘True Crime’ genre to begin with but think Netflix not speaking with the families is pretty exploitative.

Doubt I would have watched it anyways tbh
It’s crap anyway. Seen people going on about like it’s some masterclass but it’s slow drivel.

The last episode of the third series was a bit underwhelming, albeit, they`re obviously doing a fourth series.

Ian McShane steals it.

Yeah I sacked off a lot of Netflix serial killer stuff a year or so ago, they're obsessed with it. That 'normal' looking guy in Plymouth, who killed that young girl last year, 'recently' got obsessed with Bundy

I think you can get away with it in podcasts a bit more, but the Netflix shows are all so glossy and 'what happens next'' like it's some kind of soap/novella

Watch the film 'my friend dahmer', it's on all4 at the moment. Loads better
