Watching The Strain for the second time, hadn’t realised a season 4 had come out. It’s so good. Guillermo del toro never fails to impress.
Watched White Lotus. It's mad, very little happens, but it just somehow manages to maintain this constant strand of underlying tension. There are some wonderfully subtle performances in an absolutely beautiful setting.

the score has loads to do with that, i think. just like a dripping tap which gets faster and faster
Felt a little let down with S2 finale, personally, but before that, it was just great TV.
The finale wasnt bad, but compared to what came before, it felt a little flat.
I did think there would be a little bit more overlap in the two main stories, a moment where they would both tie together in a more profound way. In the end, it was just two stories. I was happy enough with it, but as you say it was slightly flat.

It is really good in concept and really enjoyed it. At one point I felt like they had a formula were sticking to each season which for me stopped it being a top tier box set. Solid second tier though.
