I hate it when trailers do this. I bet half the story line given away you wouldn’t find out until half way through the series but they had to make it look different from countless other films and series that have a similar theme.

Most on here were impressed with it straight away. For myself I had to stick at it over the first three or four episodes and glad I did as it’s top quality

Cosmo Jarvis is outstanding as the lead.

I’d only ever seen him in the low budget, but excellent Irish film, Calm With Horses.

He’ll be getting a lot more big parts on the strength of his performance in this.

Thoughts on end of Shogun

is there another season? I like open ended endings but felt this had a bit more in it but maybe not enough for a full series and also most the interesting characters died or left.
Would like to see his brother get beheaded mind you
