TV Series

Tend to agree but I’m not entirely against it, does seem more about political correctness though.
My main objection with those two is I just don’t think they’re that good, certainly not for that role anyway.
With the right story and in a different Bond ‘universe’ John David Washington could be good I think.
I’m of an age where Bond had undercover run in’s with Russians etc and a non white person simply doesn’t work with that backstory.
I am getting on a bit mind!

Think JDW is a fantastic actor like his dad.

Again though, hes not bond...should he be black superman? Black hulk? Black batman? How about he plays an indian in a bollywood film or a yakuza?

Bond is a white bloke. Id love to watch JDW as a spy in a different franchise...but hes not this character.

But watching the likes of bridgertons lady dambury saying the Royal family are "terribly white" i guess these days Bond could be reimagined and Russians could be full of Chinese in a new "From Russia with love" or 'Live and Let Die" could be Brazilians in Africa...etc etc

Doesnt make sense to me but there we go.

That Lashana Lynch...how does she get these roles?

They should’ve got Idris Elba a few years back, he’s too old now ( imo )

How does he fit the Bond character from the books?

Lets have Tom Hardy playing Martin Luther King?

Seem to remember Daniel Craig getting a lot of grief when he was first cast due to his hair colour.

Fleming described Bond as 'approximately 6ft, 167lbs (183cm, 76kg), with a slim build, tanned skin, cold blue-grey eyes and a slightly cruel twist to his mouth. His hair is jet-black and cut short, with a lock shaped like a comma falling across his forehead. He has a three-inch scar on his right cheek'.

Probably only Dalton and Connery have ever been close to the book physical description.
