Jack O'Connell, Colin Farrell and Liverpool's very own Stephen Graham; it doesn't disappoint.
Anyone who hasn't watched it, do.
8.5 venereal diseases out of 10.
Colin Farrel was brilliant in it.
The book is excellent too.

Literally editing my comment to mention Farrell whilst you were replying mateHe really is disturbingly brilliant in it.
Haven't read the book, think I'll have to dig it out.

It`s a great read mate, if anything more brutal than the tv series.
Another book in a similar vein, that was made into a tv series, is The Terror, which is also a great read too. ( if you haven`t seen it )
They tv series was slightly tainted, by changing some of the key elements of the book.
Yep, seen it mate, enjoyable fare albeit not to the same level as North Water for me.
Appreciate the heads up though, I rarely disagree with your opinions on here.
I don't think I got through the first episode of s2![]()
Gangs of London season 3 starts next week
Undercover cop-turned-gangster Elliot is back and he's on top!www.cosmopolitan.com
Season 1 was enoyable, Season 2 was an utter farce.
Not much hope for S3, but lets see.
Just finished Adolescence. An absolute powerhouse of a tv show. All amazing performances but the young kid who played Jamie, particularly in episode 3 was unreal with that performance.Started watching it today, fantastic bit of tv, completed ep2 and has been said it is difficult subject matter, but I can’t get that final scene in ep2 which went from outside the school to Stephen Graham getting out of his van…..absolutely amazing.
We watched it all tonight. As you said amazing performances all round and one that will stay in my thoughts for a while.Just finished Adolescence. An absolute powerhouse of a tv show. My two lads are 25 and 17 but the show really brought home how we never really had the correct, proportionate parental controls and guidelines in place for them, and it’s only for pure luck, that they have both turned out decent people. The show will stay with me for sometime I imagine.
Cringeing at the thought of this one.
No doubt it'll be full of Kopites...despite the title.
You can rest assured that if it's set in Liverpool and it's a gnagster film it'll be toe curling. If it’s anything like Kin then it will be more than worth a watch.

Kin it wont be.
The Martin Freeman one was good, and he was a blue in it which helps.
I trust with the people involved this will at least be watchable.
I found that second series embarrassing.
Lapsing into cliche with plazzy gansgsters who have 'idiosyncrasies' that make them rise above being...well...the scum they actually are in real life.
Coppers fighting and effing and blinding in a church. It did completely lose the plot in the second season which was a shame.
