Underrated Players

Michael Laudrup
Zvonimir Boban
Gheorghe Hagi
Hristo Stoichkov
Matthias Sammer
Fernando Redondo

Don’t think any of these get the plaudits they should deserve
Sammer is one of my favourite players but is a ballon d'or winner really not given the plaudits he deserves?

Was gonna say didn't he have a few off-field issues.
Yeah, few bad financial choices as well by the sounds of it. Apparently a nice lad too.

Have to wonder if he was playing today if he'd get better support. Recall Collymore getting ridiculed for being open about depression. Former team mate of Hendrie's, so who knows if or how that might have shaped his ability or will to reach out.

Boban is one of the best players I've ever watched. Absolutely briliant.

Denis Irwin never got the plaudits of Scholes and Keane etc but thought he was just as valuable to that utd team as the bigger names.

Sammer is my favourite ever player. Was such a good all round player. Sadly had to retire way before he should have because of knee problems. That Dortmund team had some talent around 96-97. Sammer, Reuter, Moller, Chapuisat, Kohler, Heinrich, Cesar, Reidle etc.

Redondo never really had the stage to show off his talent due to the whole mess with Passarella (another great player by the way) banning players from having long hair.

That sounds like an awesome project bro, you should get it going again. Did you have Robin Friday in there? he is one that get's mentioned a lot as a lower league version of George Best.
He is on the possible list as his life is a good (yet tragic) story.

I don't really have many Brits on the list actually purely due to the fact that most people know them (or of them anyway.)

Yeah I read the book on him a few years back, it's a sad tale, have met a few people down here who saw him at Reading and they say he was ridiculous but that you could tell he was off his face half the time.
