I saw Sean Lock a couple of years back, and he was easily one of the best I've seen. He wrote and starred in his own sitcom a while back - Fifteen Storeys Up or something?! Thought that was good as well - he's definitely got a lot more to offer than what you see on 8 Out Of 10 Cats.

Always reminded of a line of his from Live At The Apollo. Walks on after the last act, says 'so they say a woman's work is never done...perhaps that's why they get paid less!', and just let the audience stew in a mix of disgust (the women) and nervous laughter (the men). It was incredible, I'm laughing thinking about it!

Yep, totally agree with this. Some comedian was being given the royal treatment on buzzfeed cos she did a piece on being a Muslim in the US. Wooo, so edgy, so original. I'd love to see a Muslim comedian come on talk about how annoying self service checkouts are, or the joys of rush hour public transport. Just spare me the same tired 'I'm one of these people, so let me tell you frank anecdotes about being one of those people' shtick. It's banal.
