I enjoyed him live. A bit convoluted at times mind.

Exactly mate I prefer comedians who talk about simple everyday things like Peter Kay. O'Brien makes me feel thick, bit like when I read one of @The Esk posts about finances.

Yep, totally agree with this. Some comedian was being given the royal treatment on buzzfeed cos she did a piece on being a Muslim in the US. Wooo, so edgy, so original. I'd love to see a Muslim comedian come on talk about how annoying self service checkouts are, or the joys of rush hour public transport. Just spare me the same tired 'I'm one of these people, so let me tell you frank anecdotes about being one of those people' shtick. It's banal.

Like can you imagine Graham Norton going back on stage as a stand up? Bishop and Macintyre, like them or loath them, dip into TV, but can still sell out massive tours/DVDs

I love Stewart Lee.

Seeing him in May, and Richard Herring the night after or before (can't remember which way round). Seen both before separately loads, and always good value, but I still have a soft spot for them together in their younger days. Fist Of Fun and This Morning With Richard Not Judy were brilliant, and I can't believe they had to buy the tapes off the Beeb so they could release them on DVD themselves.

That is, for some reason, correct imo. Actually Mrs R agrees. We like our comedy, but she cannot stand the female ones. Milligan in particular.
