Same record label .
My very brief and very recent investigations lead me to think that Sony owned a stake in Cowell's company, so I guess Sony won either way but I'm not sure the same is true for Cowell.

What I actually liked about the whole situation was the rejection of a manufactured song by a group manufactured through a TV show in favour of actual musicians who actually wrote their song and actually believed in something other than making money. I know they were in reality selected for the lyric as it summed up how lots of people seemed to feel about the music they were being offered at the time.

Don't rage against the machine charge £50+ for tickets at sponsored arenas? And are on Sony

They were on Sony at the time of the situation we were discussing. I wouldn't know now, I thought they had gone their separate ways.

As for the rest, it might be true but I don't see how it contradicts what I said about them.

Any way, topic drifted somewhat - best Christmas song is Christmas Time - don't let the bells end by The Darkness as I'm pretty sure it was a vehicle to attempt to shoehorn the word bellend into a Christmas song.

I just struggle to see the difference between RATM and x-factor, RATM are as against the establishment as Peppa Pig
