I want to like this. I really like the way it is being taken with batman as a detective. BUT. it just looks emo to me. I just cant get behind Pattinson. When he is in full batman mode it might be fine. But when we got the glimpses of him as Bruce Wayne I just dont see it. He makes it look teenage.

You seen the lighthouse? Nothing teenage about that role. He was awful in that king film though.

Oh dont get me wrong. He is a decent actor, and may go on to do some great work. I really hope they get this right. As it has the potential to be be as good if not better than the dark knight trilogy. However from that limited clip I just dont see Bruce Wayne.

to be fair the same was said when Heath Ledger was cast as the joker, people just couldn’t buy into it until they witnessed one of the greatest characters in recent history

I seen that. Peter Bradshaw wasn’t keen but I rarely pay him much attention these days. It looks like it depends on whether you can buy into the theme. Kinda like inception

Bradshaw gave it 5! He’s often an outlier...he didnt like joker for example
