Hmm well give it a chance; I think it's going to be movie of the year (not that we've had many mind).
Actually, thinking of COVID and film pauses, what the Hell even is coming out this year? Seen the likes of Morbius and Eternals from Marvel are next year now.
You'll probably like it if you're a sci fi fan. Star Wars borrowed heavily from the book
Basically if you like Blade Runner you'll probs like Dune.

Dune is like LOTR in Sci-Fi.
Blade Runner is essentially Film Noir in cyberpunk.

Sci-fi, hint of dystopia, lots of great landscapes and a banging soundtrack. Never said the storyline is similar.

haha. I've not read the books but I find the films SO boring.
They could be used as a torture method for me, I'd spill within minutes.

Dune is an epic book, one of the few novels that can be compared with LOTR in the scope and breadth of its world.
I too liked Lynch’s adaptation but it’s very difficult for a filmmaker to really be able to recreate the grandiose of an epic book within a single film. Gone With The Wind is probably one of the best examples of screen adaptation.
