He's surpised me as an actor really after Twilight. I guess it depends on how you view Bruce Wayne as the person most associate him with is the mysterious philanthropist in the sort of James Bond suave role. This, however, is young Bruce in his first year (I think) as Batman which is a lot darker, reckless, angry. I think he's going to smash both roles myself - super excited for the film.

Yeh , I feel the same . Thought the same about Bale , and I pleasantly surprised. We will find out on March 4th ? going to try and watch it in 3D ?

He's a good actor no doubt, just looks a bit punk-ish for Bruce imho. As you've explained above there are reasons for this so probably best for me to wait and see rather than guessing. I always think of Keaton when thinking of that character and that's probably why I can't tally up the difference.

Hoping it is a good film though.

I wasn't sold whatsoever on Rob Pat as Batman till that first trailer. Even after watching The Lighthouse, The King and Tenet I was like errrrrrmmmmm about it. I hope they smash it; I think I'll love it regardless from my deep-seated love of all things Batman.

There was one bit in the first trailer when he absolute batters someone and that was the first time I was really excited about it. I was always keen to see him do it once the casting as he is actually a really good actor (watch Good Time if you haven’t already). So I have no worries about him playing a young Bruce Wayne. Was just interested to see how he would play Batman. And I’m really excited for it now
