I loved it, probably only the dark knight ahead of it for meI thought his portrayal of Bruce Wayne, was that of a deeply damaged young man, which formed part of his alter ego as The Batman.

I liked the Rorshach style commentary from him bringing alive his year one (or two?) diary ….its a grungy Batman but I think it worked and brought a different aesthetic to Batman on film. I like the Riddler concept as a serial killer, but wasn’t convinced on the movies realisation of him.I rewatched it not that long ago (my third viewing) as I wanted to watch again before The Penguin. I didn’t hate it but had some issues. I thought Dano was way over the top. I like Pattinson as Batman but really didn’t like him as Bruce Wayne. Came across as a mopey emo teenager who treated Alfred like trash. Serkis was very good though.
It looks fantastic but I just felt it was a bit too much style over substance. Hopefully the sequel will be better and the fact they are pushing it back to get the script right could be a positive. Often though it is a bad sign if they are having to scramble to get a workable script.
Yassss a new absolutely awful but amazingly fun Statham film out soon.
