upcoming films

It's my fave Batman movie. Absolutely gutted at how long we have to wait for the next one.

I know the final act gets some stick as the film is long but I could have watched 10 hours of it.

Well essentially did with Penguin but you know what I mean.

Pretty much the same here mate.

Every time you watch it you see something different or have missed.

If I was going to be hyper critical, I would’ve cast someone else as Catwoman, but that really is just nitpicking, as Zoe Kravitz is fine. I just think someone like Charlize Theron or Mackenzie Davis, could’ve put a bit more flesh onto her character.

I try implore people to re-watch it again now it's on Netflix. I know a lot haven't seen it since it hit cinemas and reckon they'd like it more second time round.

Thought The Batman was a masterpiece tbh.

Rewatched it recently, as it’s just dropped on Netflix.

I can’t honestly think of anything they got wrong tbh.

The cast blend perfectly with the grimy and stark Gotham and the use of one Nirvana track, in various guises - Something In the Way, is pretty inspirational.

A whisker away from being as good as the Dark Knight.
I rewatched it not that long ago (my third viewing) as I wanted to watch again before The Penguin. I didn’t hate it but had some issues. I thought Dano was way over the top. I like Pattinson as Batman but really didn’t like him as Bruce Wayne. Came across as a mopey emo teenager who treated Alfred like trash. Serkis was very good though.

It looks fantastic but I just felt it was a bit too much style over substance. Hopefully the sequel will be better and the fact they are pushing it back to get the script right could be a positive. Often though it is a bad sign if they are having to scramble to get a workable script.

I thought his portrayal of Bruce Wayne, was that of a deeply damaged young man, which formed part of his alter ego as The Batman.

Each to their own mate, it’s all about perspective 👍

Completely agree. Impossible to please everyone. I think I was just way too hyped up for it. Loved the trailers and was so excited for it. Guess my expectations were too high and they weren’t met.

I can understand why people love it. As I say, I didn’t hate it, just left me a bit flat.

Thought they’d canned the idea of a sequel? (Hope not!)
Edit - delayed to 2027 at the earliest apparently
