I think horror films are a genre that will survive the takeover of series streaming.
Pretty difficult to keep an audience engaged in a horror over multiple episodes and people seem to prefer a 90-120 minute film.

Although you do get the odd series that does well - the original IT and Salems Lot spring to mind
