IF, the Uz comes on board, I still wouldn't be surprised if the stadium was financed by loans, its just the way things are done. These high rollers dont dip into their own pocket as that ties up assets, but they use their wealth as a collateral enabling them to borrow large amounts and make more.

Always found these Usmanov links weird considering we’re scurrying around trying to find the money towards a new stadium.

Who says we have been? Bottom line is if you can get a low interest loan way less than what you would get commercially why not take up that offer. That way the money you would have spent can be put into the team.

This may or may not be the case but just because you have billions doesn't mean you want to give it away when there are suitable alternatives.
