Usmanov

....and so, another chapter in the plot to make Everton the second richest club in the Premier League. The plotters.....Bill Kenwright, The Russian Usmanov, The Iranian Moshiri. The seeds of this plot were sown at many secret and not so secret lunches and meetings involving Bill Kenwright and another minor but significant member of the cast….David Dein, former Chairman of Arsenal, and long time very close friend of Bill Kenwright. Then Usmanov joined them at some meetings, and Dein, having interested Usmanov and set up communication between BK and Usmanov, disappeared from the scene, to be replaced by Moshiri, who acted for Usmanov and WAS Usmanov in all but name.
We are now approaching the endgame, Usmanov has escaped the shackles of Arsenal, and is free to come out into the open and state his ambition. When his ambition comes to pass, the original instigator of the plot, Bill Kenwright, will ride off into the sunset never to be seen again, but with a parting word for all Evertonians.

'I am leaving you now. My work here is done'

Sounds about right apart from the last line which should read ‘I’m leaving you now, my bank manager says my work here is done’......

1)Doubt the council will loan money to someone who has the amount of money usmanov has, he just received 550m.

2)When they do sell the club the new owners aren't going to be happy to be paying the council 7m a year.

3) to sell the club for a good price there going to have to get us into the top 4. Your looking at 500m for a stadium and a further 500m to bring in world class players. Spending 1bn and then selling the club for more then that.

I can't see it

Not just about football this.

The Liverpool waterfront is a potential goldmine. Involving the council is a necessity as the infrastructure of the city is key in the regeneration. Getting big ships docking regularly, visiting casinos, lavish restaurants and hotels, taking in a premier league match. Iconic waterfront is a dream location for world wide marketing of multiple ventures.

Thing is a successful Everton and vast investment in the waterfront is also beneficial to LFC too. Just that they are so entrenched in their own relevance and self worth that they cannot see the benefit in healthy competition. Just look at how Manchester is thriving.

Not really.

Lobbing cash, soz, "investing" in film productions can be tax efficient.

Most loans for film feature production are guaranteed by specialist finance companies, so investing in a film ,unless its a multi million pound epic, is virtually a no lose situation.Even Bills movie produced a few years ago featuring Michelle Pfeiffer only cost £14 million, all guaranteed by the Film Finance boys. And coincidentally, around £14 million was the profit that Bill Kenwright Productions made that year. I always suspected, and indeed mentioned on here, that the way Phil Green got money into Everton was by investing in Bills theatre shows and movies. I think only BK and his daughter are directors of Bill Kenwright Productions, any profits go to them only.
