There has always been talk that there was a trigger point. The most logical trigger point (from a legalistic viewpoint) is the planning application being submitted. It's not the only one, it could be a point whereby the sale of the land was agreed, funding was put in place, planning application accepted etc.
I maintain I would be surprised if Usmanov ever publicly comes onto the board. He is not a clean enough face. As you have said, I can imagine a holding company, such as Blue and White Holdings may well be set up somewhere.
His company Gazprom I have seen is 50% owned by the Russian government. We obviously have to be very cautious in what we say in relation to that. There could be an assumption drawn that the Russian government may have interest in prime real estate in a major UK city, or on a major UK business. If this were the case it would be an enormous story, so it is best to keep some distance.
If it were the case, any fictional club that may have backing that had links (via individuals, so indirect links) would be extremely wealthy. They would also really not need to worry about profit and loss in the way a conventional/orthodox business would. It could almost be seen as a fantastic way to launder huge sums of money or gain cultural influence. It would almost be as if there were a much deeper game going on.
Of course, these are most likely to be complete fictions and could never happen in real life, where we all know everything is above board and completely transparent. Thats my view. But the story above is certainly an interesting fictional account.
Thing is though, with Boris and co getting into a super charged Tory government now, they will prob help their Russian friends a bit more....every cloud right?
But what about the esk!!
Yeah he has also withheld documents on Russian influence in brexit too, so I would take his anti-russian showboating with a pinch of vodka!Oddly Johnson has been quite antagonistic to the Russian government. However if Russian influence can potentially by-pass the protocols of this country, I really don't think they'll worry too much about FFP and STCC.
There will be a lot of money made in Liverpool Waters. There has always been talk that there was a trigger point. That's fair enough mate. And I know he knows a lot about finances and that. But he puts up things about other aspects of the club he knows nothing about and is dismissive when people question it.I know those who run the forum don't ant the discussion to become about him. I like him, agree with him on lots of things and he has stated things to me that have proven to be true. I don't agree with him on his analysis of this situation though.
And thats fine. I could be wrong. I have no inside information, it's just a gut feeling I have. There will be far better connected people than me who it would be better to listen too.

By building BMD Moshiri and Co will position themselves well with Peel and the Council to grab a large slice of the pie with the Liver building looking down on it all

Usmanov headed Gazprom Investholding, a subsidiary of state-run conglomerate Gazprom, from 2000 to 2014. Gazprom is not his company. There has always been talk that there was a trigger point.
