Still can't get my head around why everyone gets so excited about him taking over when FFP limits how much money the club can spend, even more so given he looks like he's one kebab away from a heart attack.

Probably because it confirms the stadium is happening, and Bill Kenwright has been one kebab away from a heart attack since the 90s and look at him go.

Those ffp regulations are really biting hard with City and Chelsea.

Morbid question but if anything happened to Uz or Mosh - would we as a club be alright financially?

We seem to be on an upwards trajectory based on USM pumping us with money - would there be a trust situation set up for the club or would it leave us in a potential mess?
Uzi has put in his will so that he will have left us a small allowance to subsist on after he wanders to the Big Billionaire Playground in the sky.

Well technically he has put in his will that he will pay £30 million for the rights to give us a small allowance to subsist on after he saunters off the mortal coil.

I’m sure they’re terrified, sitting 14pts clear at the top of the league with a game in hand.

We’ve got more reason to be positive about the “back end” of our club than we have for a long long time, but let’s wait until it at least starts to manifest on the pitch as us being anything other than average, before we start with that sort of stuff, eh?

It’s not like premature celebration/gloating EVER went badly for us in the past eh?

We’re a shambles on the pitch. Nothing to float about whatsoever, an awful squad with an awful mentality and we’ve achieved nothing in 25 years.

The redeeming factor, although not anything to gloat about yet, is that the conditions for success are starting to be put in place. Moshiri will put us in a world class stadium, we have a world class training ground, we have a supposed world class DOF (Jury out for now), and we have a world class manager. We’re currently missing world class players, world class coaching staff, and a world class exec team, but people can’t deny that piece by piece Moshiri is moving the pieces into place. There’ll still be the whole ‘Everton’ factor to get over as a barrier to us winning things but you’ve got a far better chance if your team is in a new stadium with Ancelotti throwing huge sums on players than if you’re Moyes or Martinez in Goodison being told you can have a loan if you sell your best player.

Anyone else find this whole thing hilarious?

He’s giving us £12m a year for a useless training ground sponsorship, £30m just to be considered as an option to name our proposed new stadium that won’t be built for another 3 1/2 years and he’s meeting Ancelotti, a manager that usually wouldn’t look twice at us, socially just before he becomes manager of the club.

We’re sticking a big two fingers up to the Premier League and their corrupt FFP, which is designed to keep the selected few at the top, and we’re doing it right in front of them lol

It’s absolutely hilarious and it’s also been hilarious watching all the actual Everton fans who have said Moshiri doesn’t know what he’s doing and Usmanov is not going near us not knowing what to do!

Aye but say Usmanov God forbid kicked the bucket before the stadium was built (he's 66 and BMD isnt until 3-4 years away) would you imagine there being something in place for USM to continue its plans or could there be a situation of him leaving it all to a playboy son or wife who tells us to sod off as they have no interest in footie leaving us in a mess or simply back to square one?

The good news is that it's not just one billionaire involved, so there's still every incentive for the other to stay the course, complete the project and only sell once the club is at an entirely new level of revenue/asset base/future potential.
