Again a lack of knowledge. The deals will not be looked at over the coming days. They will be looked at when our 2020 accounts go in to the FA. If we qualify for European competition they will also go in to UEFA. As you say if the amounts involved are at a fair value then there will be no action. The problem is despite commercial revenue going in from USM and associated companies we have still posted a colossal loss. what we need is better management of our resources and to stop complaing about not being allowed to waste even more money



We are not talking about trade bodies, we are talking about organisations that run sporting competitions. Regarding Bosman that was an individual not a Club.

We will have breached FFP rules or we won't, if there is any ambiguity in the rules then you will almost definitely see the courts being asked to decide what is right or wrong.
I think we have seen the rules are not crystal clear and it will be fascinating to see how the injection of 30 m by USM will be regarded.
If we do now have a Moshiri/Usmanov double act I think they will want to force their way into the top four as quickly as possible and that means investing a lot of money into the club and breaking or at least twisting the rules completely out of shape.

He wasn't an individual. He was a player, under contract from a club who has signed up to the rules you seem to view as sacrosanct. So there is a duality there, not only the rules clubs sign up to, but he signed up on contract to them.

And the law threw out the rules of football as not worth the paper they were written on. You can write pretty much whatever you like as a gentleman agreement, which works to a point but it's not enforceable is it contravenes the laws of the country you operate in.

I don't wish to throw about insulting words (though you seem to relish it) but the real naive one here is you, who seems to have the rules of football on this pedestal like they've been ordained by Moses or whatever. They are a few guiding principles, and if challenged by the law of the land would quickly come unstuck. This would be a massively expensive and onerous mistake for the PL if they went down this path. Hence why, as long as Usmanov's sponsorship stay roughly in line with what other top PL clubs get, we will never be hassled.

What we need to do is to get much better at making the most of our resources. Increasing revenue, recruiting better and above all showing patience. Which means we will stop paying tens of millions to get rid of managers.

We can have a brilliant future but we need to stop excusing the poor management of the Club. that means we need to stop pretending that Moshiri or Usmanov means we can continue to be run badly.

They have been charged for a second time and are awaiting the decision of the CFCB after an appeal to the CAS was thrown out.

The way to compete on a fair footing is to get the Stadium, funded built and to increase revenues. Our owners seem extremely reluctant to do that though. That is the basis of my scepticism. If as has been suggested we are owned by Usmanov and he is going to throw money at us then there wouldn't be any funding issues. We also wouldn't be taking a payday loan from Rights and Media Funding Limited.

We wouldn't have a charge on our future season ticket revenues.

32m of the 49m fine was suspended/wiped out I think. There will be repercussions for us if we can't sort this out in coming seasons and our spending big will have to cease unless sales or another solution is found. There is no set punishment for failing to comply with FFP but Everton seem to be a club used as a punching bag for firsts.
