USMNT

Having slept on it I really don't think it was that bad. They didn't really have a chance and we could have scored on another day. The passing was really meh but they did enough to get some of the creative players in space a few times and Pulisic is just going to do more than Konrad if available. I have questions about Reyna being wide and Aaronson central but it's all whatever, play like that every time and we'll be fine.

Disagree. Think Gregg got it wrong. Sure, away points are good, but the general play was lacking.

This game was more well suited for a Pefok from the beginning than Sargent. Honestly don’t think Sargent should start again for a while. He’s a master of none type striker. No stand out qualities. As much as Dest technically can play left back, it wasn’t the time for it yesterday, and knowing set pieces were going to play a key role, I don’t understand not having Brooks in there over Ream. Heck even Zimmerman over Ream at this point. Away or not, playing El Salvador essentially even on balance of play isn’t good enough. Good summer for Gregg and the boys, but this is prove it time, and yesterday was pretty poor in my eyes.

Oh I don't think it was that even. We had chances and they didn't. Second half they barely had a sniff we just didn't have quality to bring on when Reyna and Aaronson tired.
 

I didn't watch the whole match but every time we had a good situtation on the flanks someone would do a 20-30 yard sprint into the box and plow right into a El Salvador CB, it was like watching punt coverage.
 

McKennie out of the squad tonight for “violating team policy.” Wonder what he’s done. Also looks like Reyna tweaked his hamstring. Adam’s not starting but assume that’s just rest. Our midfield is vulnerable tonight. Luckily Canada’s isn’t any better.
