As funny as this all is on some level it's also a major issue for the team going forward. And USSF is too twisted in conflicts of interest for it to get solved properly I fear. Best case is they appoint a USMNT manager who is far enough removed from US Soccer beforehand that the federation's crap isn't going to interfere in 2026. I don't really see that happening.
Agreed, gotta go get someone from another country who never had anything to do with the MLS.
However, that's pretty much what I've asked for since I was a kid for this team.
Do you, or anyone else watch espnfc regularly?
They're seriously listing Pep Guardiola as a potential candidate, most of the list they had was absolutely ridiculous.
We'll see how Leeds goes. But it seems like they could just be waiting for Marsch to fail again so they can bring him in. Which I don't mind him, but as you said, I don't really want a guy who has any ties to this crap.
That whole generation I've always found annoying and arrogant from afar. I know Brian Bliss who was a bench player, quiet guy, very humble. From my hometown, grew up with my father. Never got to meet any of the other guys though.
I did like Reyna before this. But you can add him to the list of Lala's, Harkes, and Wynaldas. They've got the English "It's coming home, I invented football" attitude but wouldn't be regarded as anything other than JAGs and failures in real "footballing" nations. At least that's how they've always struck me, I could be off on that.
