Maybe Landon is bitter but he does have a point. We were pretty threatening when we did (had) to open up. I think this WC is proving that the 2nd and 3rd tier sides can hang with anyone by defending in numbers for 90min but 120 is a whole different beast. Then again when we did bring numbers forward Lukaku hip checked someone into row F and Belgium scored. In hindsight we might have been better off if Belgium scored in the 1st minute.
He doesn't do the right thing all the time (and you can often 2nd guess managers in matches you win). Leaving Donovan off the side had nothing to do about footballing ability, or how hard one practices. it was a d___ swinging contest that he shouldn't have gotten involved in as even if he didn't like Donovan he had all of 4 matches to put up with him. However overall Klinsmann has quite well in 2 world cups. He changed Germany's style to the point where the kind of play like their rivals Holland (and ironically Holland has started to look like old Germany). Plus he navigated the US through a tough group.
