VAR

More VAR please. Longer breaks with some kind of dramatic music and a light show. More crazy calls and possibly position the bunker in some guilded mansion where officials make decisions while eating grapes and have a swimming pool with scantily clad instagram girls. Really go all out with it IMO.

I honestly think VAR can work if they get rid of the lack of communication to fans. It is that gap that is holding VAR back in football as there is just simply no understanding as to how they are coming to this decision.

In Rugby you generally hear most things that are said from the TMO to the ref and then to the players. Also, in Rugby they don't try to be over scientific with offsides, forward passes, etc. There are no silly lines being drawn, officiating is still an opinion rather than seeing for 'definite' that they are a millimetre out here or there, mistakes can be made but it is lessened not eradicated by the correct use of the TMO process.

Just watching Harlequins v Bath, off field messaged ref that he'd missed a high tackle and there to check if the ball is grounded before a try awarded,no players rolling around feigning injury. Players all giving 100%. So much for football to learn from.
Well that's rugby isn't it? Different culture.
Football now there's a possibility of riots breaking out and the ref getting hounded by the press and having his house attacked.

Call them to look at the screen when Salah or Mane* goes down with nobody near them.

*or anyone else really. Can't think why those names came to mind.
This is the main issue with var. The refs have to look at the screen themselves and decide.
