thought his family was back in italy and thats why settling in the uk has been so difficult for him.

now, if he had been on the phone all night helping his wife cope with a baby in hospital and him on the other side of europe then that is something.

vdms problem is that he has form for breaking club rules and going out on the piss, so it was no stretch to reach the same conclusion this time.

and if i recall correctly, lua lua's baby son died, he asked for time off and was told he couldnt have any he had to play. that situation at pompey i believe underlies his issues at pompey and why he is looking for the exit.

VDM ~ Great talent but his own worst enemy, having said that he cant help being the way he is, people can change but it's too late for him i reckon, wasn't meant to be lads, simple as that, although, it would come as no surprise if he was a success somewhere else.

Won't come good anywhere. Is pissing his life away with 25k of our money a week. Shame on him. He may be troubled, but he should agree to leave the club by mutual consent.

time for me to change my avatar.

He's pissed the fans off more than the club.

So how about instead of a fine that goes to the club, next time he has to buy everyone in Goodison a chang?

He can watch us drinking for a change.

ideally yes, but easier said than done, can you name any player who has left a club of his own free will because they are not contributing anything of note to the side ?, i can see your point though.

There shouldn't be any question about anything, he must be shown the door(y)

It rarely happens, especially when a players stock has dropped so dramatically as VDM's has. To think he used to play for inter.

should be playing the best football of his life at his age.

Maybe we can offer him to someone who likes taking on problem players - Newcastle or West Ham?

Chances are, he''ll be playing for a pub team in two years.

Regardless of your allegiances or what you think of VDM, it's just a sad, sad story all the way around when a player of his caliber just can't/won't get his life straightened out.

I think deep down, every Evertonian wanted to see the VDM that we all had seen in the past for his previous teams. If it doesn't work out, I will probably always wonder two things down the road:

1) What ever happened to VDM?

2) What would have happened had he lived up to his potential?

And no doubt he will be Jim, better for all concerned i think.

Its something I have wanted to see for a while, he is a waster. I am also made up that leonbill is dumping his avatar, he can have mine if he wants it(y) (y)

Good post Bill.

Decision due this week apparently, although it's already obvious what that decision will be, Moyes has had enough, too many chances, i cant see him giving him another bite at the cherry.

more importantly, the decision is due later this week, if I will actually dump my avatar.

What if I choose a new player like Baines or Jags or Fernandes.

Could be the kiss of death. Maybe my avatar is a jinx?
