My opinion of its this. Moyes may have thought he had some money to play with. Possibly the sale of Heitinga. So has a look himself.

Finds out Heitinga wont be sold this window. Because of this he has no cash to bid. Liverpool come in and its a complete wash out. So thats the rnd of our interest. Not becausr he is too slow.

okay mate, i give up. would have been pretty silly for moyes not to have asked, especially given bill's past. we'll see hey, i'll apologise in 2 years when forren is the best CB in the league and moyes says, yeah we missed out on him because bill wouldn't give me the money.
