But when he's awful, he really makes me question him as a footballer. I've seen him over the years where he was injury free for some time and played regularly as a sub or started but he just couldn't make a pass or even control the ball. He's been decent in the last 12 months or so but like Rodwell, he will always be injury prone. He has been in and around the first team for 5 years now but I don't think he believes in himself. James Vaughan used to be injured all the time just like him but when he was fit and I'd still take him over Vic cos of his work rate.

Wasn't surprised at all that he was the one to get us back in the game. We've missed him big time, a few of the draws we've had could easily have been wins if he'd been available to come on.

Ruptured his Achilles slipping on a nice piece of glittery Xmas paper whilst he was wrapping a new soap on the rope he'd bought for Das Hammer......just our luck.

I havent.

Ive seen players with less talent, but ive never seen a player with a worse attitude.

Fair point Goat. He also frustrates me as his goal scoring record is stellar, but he is just a pouter. If he put that energy elsewhere god knows what would happen.

But I like another poster above no longer groan when he comes in either...unless he gets injured. Which he still does with frustrating regularity.

yeah I'll have that but there has been shedloads of strikers who have been gash, never been spotted even near the ball never mind close enough to not control it etc, bit those players eg lineker pop up in the box and slot, then slide off back into the shadows for a bit. If he's slotting, he's in. Jelavic has stopped slotting but I think hos general play is alright but coz he isnt netting as much he's getting grief. Which way do we want our strikers FFS
