They aren't audiophile or whatever but it sounds pretty good to me

It's more the cost of them lol

I have a Sonos 5 too and I have it currently connected to my record player hahah. They're great speakers

I do also have a good amp, preamp etc but sold the speakers not that long ago so might do it 'properly' again at some point, who knows. Just takes up more room

Had a sonos 5 for ages and got a second off cex for 270, massive bargain...stereo pair makes a big difference

I looked into getting an analogue set up, but the cost involved and everything ive read about the so called differences in sound quality being negligible, I just enjoy the physical format , artwork etc
Start small. Get a solid turntable. There's forums that can guide you based on budget. It's finding deals in the second hand market, cos there's tons of it. Buying brand new is nice, but it's like buying a new car, you lose a quarter to a third of your cash the moment you hand it over. This is a lesson for me as well, cos every time I get close to an upgrade of sorts I find a rare vinyl I really like or someone is giving a load of stuff away at value. Really what I could do with doing is trimming down the 3-4 thousand vinyls I own and filtering out the parts I find a bit crap. The further you go, the more expensive your taste becomes. I occasionally buy job lots and when I can arrange to get to them vinyl fairs and music car boot sales. As with everything I wish I'd started about ten years earlier when the genuine bargains were about. Twas ever thus.

Did alot of research on turntables and got this

Had to be tasteful and fit in with the sideboard for the wife, dont think I will be able to convince her that an amp and new speakers are also required lol
