Actually prefer it to Blue.

Funnily enough played Clouds this afternoon which is wonderful.

I'm on the hunt for a pristine copy of Hejira. Saw one on Ormskirk today but no way I'm paying £50 for an LP.
I've got Hejira on tape somewhere unplayed. I can remember vividly seeing Joni Mitchell on a BBC special then going out to get the tape of Blue and playing it until it nearly wore out.

Todays vinyl haul.

Pearl Jam: Self Titled - remastered and remixed by Brendan O’Brien
Foo Fighters: But Here We Are - white vinyl
AC/DC: Greatest Hits release for Iron Man 2
Dire Straits: Alchemy - first pressing live album from 84IMG_0306.webp
Bob Dylan: Blonde on Blonde - reissue from a few years back.

I'll give this thread a bit of a bump.

Got a load of Dylan on CD but only two vinyl - Nashville Skyline and Blood On The Tracks but both are original UK first pressings. Blood On The Tracks was from my Dad's collection but I picked up NS pretty cheap on Discogs for around a tenner. Good thing about someone like Dylan who sold bucketloads is that you can still find early presses for not much money at all and certainly cheaper than newer re-releases.

I think the same goes for Dire Straits. Loads of CDs but only Making Movies on vinyl and they're another band who sold ridiculous amounts but haven't become that kind of 'must have' for vinyl collectors so the prices are reasonable.

I think I’ve paid around £60/70 for my Dire Straits collection. Alchemy the love album was probably the most expensive at just over £20. It in very, very good condition as well.
