There must be big pressure on Infantino right now and in future concerning Russias world cup games. It's a total joke. They have two years now to build up the hypermedia and at the same time the hooligan culture will expand like never before. It has been tied to nationalistic fever and mark my words it wont be pretty. Their mentality "us against the rest of the world" is their driving force and it is backed by Putins regime and their media.

Their next World Cup Games will be in the Finals that they are hosting, they will play Friendlies against nations that won't have fans there or travel to South America etc to go below the radar.
The only way they can be kept an eye on really is in Champions League & Europa, possibly the Domestic League.

Fifa & Uefa haven't exactly got a good track record in dealing with these kinds of things though, for example Turkish Fans were almost burning stadiums down a few years back & rioting at almost every international but all they ever got was paltry fines.
The 86 World Cup had originally been awarded to Colombia (only bidder), I remember reading about a ref being shot at during a game, it was awarded in 74 but Colombias politics, economy & the rise of the cartels changed things considerably, but it was the countries President that decided to pull out of hosting.

how stupid some England fans are is beyond me. There is a video of drunk English mocking the Polish flag. Of course with no Polish fans around. The only result will be like innocent England fans getting slapped or punched in revange. Why they are so brave only when safe in the pub ??

the english one? yeah. dull as dishwater. No trouble yesterday at the game for me, russians were too depressed to do anything, there was a patch of about 30 or 40 empty seats bunched together in their end. Possibly those that got deported? Even though i heard they'd been let back into France. But glad wales pipped their fans down royally and they will now go home.

... but by god do they produce some mighty fine women.

No different to anyother fans. After the England/Wales game local 'fans' in Wrexham were burning the England flag outside the local pub. Safe in the knowledge that there were no England fans about. Idiots.
