Even if there is a player there who can compete at this level, why sign him in the middle of their winter break?
You need someone who can come in and hit the ground running. I refuse to believe this was the best use of the money or that it was in our best interests to sign him in January. That whole window is looking worse and worse with every game that passes.
….you watch somebody & you have to form an opinion. If there’s doubt to investing £15m then you walk away. You have to really like what you see.
it’s not rocket science, it’s partly why we’re in such a mess. its ludicrous to buy poor players to replace very good players, we’ve ended up playing a 3rd choice RB in place of him.
(Note; I accept and fully appreciate the problems he has in the country of his birth.)
