Hes a wing back, he should be taking risks to get us up the pitch.

And all of our defenders don't take risks, that's why it's boring, slow, side ways football until they lump it upfront aimlessly. It's why we have no threat and why we transition at glacial pace up the pitch.

He gets the ball turns and passes it backwards. Again and again and again.

I think he's saying average is fine when you compare him to the horror show that is kenny and Coleman. He has also just come to this league and his home waged war on since he arrived. So i will cut him some slack but i think he's defo got better as his playing time has gone on.

Charged past Richarlison today to create space and Richarlison chose to pass to their defender instead of coming inside.

Put in a couple of decent crosses.

He's just got to have a preseason and adapt to the league.

I must say this frustrated me today with his passing backwards when on occasion he could have faced up to his opponent and made them think. He did mange a few overlaps but doesn't yet like being confronted when in possession and takes the easy way out. Better game today though

That's the one time he overlapped/underlapped in the entire game and his crossing is Coleman level of "let's just chip it into an area and hope".

I just don't see it in him.

Because average doesn't put you in the relegation quagmire does it? Look at West Ham, average would just about sum their performance up, and they have an outside shot of the Champions League and winning the Europa League.

There a several rungs in the ladder between 'average' and whatever the hell we are.
