He did not struggle, he was just getting into it and his new side. Did he look weak, easily beaten? No.

He wasn't out muscled or anything but was taken on 1 on 1 and out of position a few times. Think it was good considering he probably isn't fully fit and first game in England though.

I only watched 90 minutes so if he played well in extra time then fair play. From what I saw he looked slow and weak physically. Further, he gave away a few brainless fouls. He was beaten far too easily on a couple of occasions and I didn't really see what he added going forwards. Overall I thought it was a below average debut at best or if I'm being blunt, a poor debut. Very disappointing performance but it was only one game and he hadn't trained much with the team so the jury is out but not exactly buzzing over spending £20 million on him.

Can we please give any new players at least 5-10 games to have some sort of chance to settle (especially given the managers bizarre tactics) anyone who wants to judge a player after 1 game can put me on ignore as I have no desire whatsoever to engage in conversation with you.
No!!! He has been deemed rubbish by the experts despite having a month without a game, despite not knowing any of the players, despite probably having a language barrier and despite playing more-or-less a wing back position rather that full back position and above all his debut in English Football.
Personally I thought he did OK especially with taking all the points above into consideration

Looked a bit out of his depth last night I thought, although he did seem to settle as the game went on. He obviously lacked a bit of sharpness, as he was on his winter break with Kiev immediately prior to coming here. I imagined he would have been a bit bigger than he is, I’d been led to believe he was a strong powerful player, but, he looked a bit light weight to me.

Still, it’s early days yet and it’s a big move for the lad, it’s going to be a while before we see the best of him.

Worth noting that not even Seamus Coleman nor Lucas Digne exactly set the world alight in their first handful of appearances either.

Not sure but it seemed like he never played in such a nonsensical set up as what Benetiz served up.
Reserving judgment until he plays a handful of games in a flat four.

I’ve not read all the comments so I’m not saying nobody is doing it but I haven’t seen a lot of people slating him or anything more just commenting on him. I expect him to take a while to properly settle and get used to the league but I was hoping he was a big strong quick athletic type who would get by in the meantime just by being physically up to it so I was a little bit worried that didn’t seem to be the case because it might mean the rest of the season is a struggle for him even if he is a very good player in the long term.
