Tough for a young lad getting to know a new culture, city and everything that goes with it
Add the conflict going on in Ukraine it must be a nightmare for him
He may have family members in the army as well as being close to the shelling of certain areas.
A lot to handle when loved ones are in danger, and not close by

Just hope he can work through this and his family (all families) are safe and can get through this madness we are all witnessing

Give Myko our support tomorrow please blues.

We can barely speak English at matches let alone speak Ukrainian.

I've supported Mykolenko since he arrived...as opposed to the majority who have pilloried him.

But Everton getting involved in this conflict is ridiculous and needs calling out.

We are a football club not an international player.

Last time I checked we weren't sending troops to the Crimea Dave?

If you could please point out how EFC are "getting involved in this conflict" that would be great, thanks

I doubt he plays tomorrow

On another note... given Ukraine are conscripting men aged 18-60.... I mean, how does that work with all this?

They aren't letting men of that age leave their borders from what I've heard, but I don't think it could possibly apply to people who work full time abroad. They aren't going to be able to fly people back for a start.

By stating they'll support the player concerning the conflict.

This is a very complex conflict and the club has to be very careful in siding with a player, as that act can look like support for one side.

Mykolenko can receive all the support he needs off the club but Everton dont need to do that publicly with a big statement.

Let's not forget the complexity: it might look like a no-brainer in supporting Ukraine, but their forces have a massive element of neo-nazis involved in the east of Ukraine who have harassed and targeted Russian speaking Ukrainians for 8 years.

Number one: the club needs to stay out of this.
Number two: if they do choose to speak they should be balanced.
