Found his niche it seems in his head, in terms of how defend to suit his attributes. Maybe the staff have simplified things for him. Got back quickly to stop some really bad situations, and doesn’t go to ground and take himself out of the game. Just gets his whole body between player and goal and waits for his chance to tackle. Maybe a few games against top top wingers has added some focus and appreciation of just negating risks. Solid.

Think he's really improved defensively over the past few weeks. Good to see that desire to get into the box for the goal too. Obviously still lacking on the ball, but you could say that about nearly all our players today.

He was very good today, he got forward too. His goal, while it was a rebound, was excellent because it was a rebound from his shot, have a look at the replay and see how brilliantly the initial shot was executed. He hit it so sweetly on the volley, kept it on target and low and had the wits about himself to hammer the rebound into the net. Only his second goal for us, but, if I remember correctly, his other one was a very well controlled shot on the volley. This lad is growing on me.

Made up for Myko. Never gonna be a progressive LB but fits Dyche’s system perfectly - rarely gets beaten 1 on 1.

Been doing well for a while, and did great for his goal, but needs to work on his passing.

Considering he was behind young at the start of the season at lb, I can only hope Dyche sees sense on the other flank as well.
