I keep hearing after every game people saying ‘they targeted our right’ as if that’s a dig at Coleman or Young or Patterson but actually it’s because anything that goes down the left gets eaten up quickly by Myko. Defensively, he’s as good as any fullback in the league at the moment and he’s done incredible jobs on some of the premier leagues most talented attackers.

Backed him from the start. He had a lot of mitigating factors for not being immediately up to the speed of the Prem.

The pace of the game itself often shocks foreign players coming in for the first time. He didn't speak fluent English, he was what 21? and the tiny issue of war in his home country.

I don't like writing new foreign signings off too quickly, it can and does take some players longer too adapt to the pace and physicality of our league.

He has come on so much, I would say probably from the last few games of last season to present.
He has now won me around and whilst never noticeably outstanding he is quietly effective and seems to be consistently in contention for MOTM.

Mykolenko is not as technical a footballer as Digne or Baines were for us down the left; yet, he contributes offensively, has good ball control for the position, is not limited by being one-footed, maintains good defensive positioning, has enough pace for recovering, and is excellent in the air with his head.

Consider his age, and add in his all-around physicality, and that touch of spite he seems to carry and he is a very likeable footballer to have on the squad. I think we are fortunate to have a player of his quality given the mismanagement that led up to Digne's departure.

Can't disagree with that. Myko is in a rich vein of form
