2024/25 Vitalii Mykolenko

….totally agree, I was trying to be kind ;)

I understand why so many posters ‘love him’ and say ‘playing for Everton means so much to him’ but we’re not in the business of just playing ‘nice guys’, this fella really isn’t very good.

I think he’s been here for over 3 years, just imagine how many crosses he’s put in the box during that time and finally he puts one on an Everton head that finds the net. I like the lad too but we seriously need an upgrade. Very poor last night.
Sometimes Eggs you’ve got to be cruel to be kind——and Mykolenko, being kind and honest does my bleedin’ head in every time he plays!

It's mental how bad a pro footballer can actually be with a football at his feet and get to the top of the game with such limited footballing ability.

Even worse is we have 2 players like this who start week in, week out and game after game we unfortunately see moves break down because of it.

We say it over and over: this team will be transformed when we actually get full backs comfortable on the ball in the opposition half. There'll be a temptation on here for people to think we've turned into prime Brazil but we'll basically start functioning like your average mid table Premier League side.

Could only listen to the game but I don't recall hearing his name mentioned at all, so guessing he was barely involved in any attacking play.

You can't question his desire and resilience but he's an atrocious footballer, I can't remember seeing even a lower league player at Goodison with worse technique than this lad. Occasionally lumps a cross in that lands near one of our players and people laud it as the second coming of Leighton Baines. He's not a premier league standard player, even as backup.
