He would probably do ok as a back up centre half in a back 3 but nowhere near confident enough with the ball at his feet. If we had a better left sided player there that would help Ndiaye become a much bigger threat in the final 3rd in my opinion.

hes not exactly playing lcb in a three right now in a lb lwb position isnt he?

He`s playing with more confidence, you can see it in the way he plays.

Moyes has given him more of a licence to get forward, same with all the defence.

The Dycheosauraus, had them all camped in their own half for virtually the whole game.

I agree we need an upgrade but i also seem to be the only one who thinks he puts in some decent crosses when he has time and space. But we hardly have anyone in the box. I always think you need a minimum of 3 players attacking the prime positions when a cross comes in. Near post, penalty spot and far post. Very rarely happens

I think he is all right too mate. His numbers from his previous club and internationally reinforce that. Coming to a basket case club that plays negative anti-football where the fullbacks are expected to stay in their half will impact that.

If you watch him, he gets up and down the pitch plenty and overlaps more than people give him credit for because he doesn’t always get used.

Under Lampard (when he was playing with an injury) he had gray ahead of him who was very selfish.

He’ll have had no encouragement to get forward for a couple of years - I’m hopeful that Moyes (and Baines) will be able to bring his game on.

Remember the time he was camped in Forests half and made the most crosses of any player in the game (10) and ballooned 7 of them?

He's a solid level championship player.

If I were Moyes, I would stick with the 5 back system and allow Myko more liberty to get forward. If he is to improve, we may as well give him license to do so. Jesper and Patto can Duke it out for the right side.

For his version of what a left back is, he is really good. Yes is can’t do this and won’t do that. So many complaints about what he cant do that the effective way he defends his zone gets completely overlooked. I think he’s great bless him.

He's terrible and a big part of the reason why we play some of the worst football in Europe.
