I’d be careful saying stuff like „we aren’t in a relegation battle“ and other views like „we’re too good to go down“.

We are in a relegation battle. We’ve won 1 game since September. We look hopeless.

If we carry on the form we’ve shown for the past 5 months we’ll be going down.

Whoever gets the job they have to get it right.
Like I said above, there is plenty of teams we should easily beat with a competent manager and there will be no chance of being caught after that.

Norwich won't outpoint us, Watford won't and Burnley despite their 20 games in hand struggle to win.

Unless the teams at the bottom draw 20 games then there is a good chance we aren't in any danger as long as we win like 4 games.

If a new manager can't win 4 games with this team then we deserve to be relegated and gutted.

I get that VP is not everyone's first choice but to hound him out before he is even our manager is just ridiculous and then to advocate for Lampard as if he football manager deity is even worse. We are a laughing stock of a club right now.

Why is it ridiculous ?

He’s achieved nothing in football for years and couldn’t even hack it at Fenerbache or a second division German side.

I couldn’t give two hoots whether he’s sad or not to be honest. Why should Everton fans concern themselves with that ?

You really need to disconnect between where we are because of benitez and where we should be with a half decent manager.

We are far better than a relegation battle. It's not hard for any manager with knowledge of this league to win a few games when the teams below you struggle to do it. All we need to do is beat the teams below us and we are safe ffs

No.

I just need to look at the table to know we are in a relegation battle.

The facts speak for themselves.

I'm all for admitting our situation but our situation is based SOLELY on the man we have just sacked. The same players performed far better less than a year ago to where this squad should be , midtable.

What is the point in crying relegation battles like you don't have any belief we are staying up? Either you believe we can stay up, which means the way we do that is extremely easy , or you don't and therefore you have accepted we are going down.

This just shows it again like benitez we need somebody that we can get behind, yes the others rooney lampard ect have fans who dont want them here but could see a less negative reaction. Pereira will just be seen as a kia man.
Good on him. With his wealth you'd expect him to drive something flasher.

As i've mentioned previously in this thread, if this was the summer, he was one of the candidates, F it, yeah lets give it a go, might whip the squad into shape and have an eye for some talent, now half way through the season where we are in free fall, he is too much of a risk with no PL experience at all to come in and hope to do keep us up

That said, everyone is a risk at this point, every candidate will have pros and cons and will split opinions. The decision needs to be done by latest tomorrow, to allow whoever it is to try work some deals over the line before the window slams shut. I feel like Lampard will be able to attract some premier league ready loans more so than VP

I’m no fan at all of Benitez but our problems are far deeper than him alone. We are 100% in a relegation battle.
