It's a popular cliche with no actual meaning. Guardiola, Klopp, Conte, Tuchel etc never knew the league and yet they are the 4 best in the country.

Lampard would never be my first choice mate but given the precarious situation we are in i would probably accept it at this point in the season given that he knows the league and wont need much time to settle in.

Tend to agree Lampard or Rooney even though Lampard does concern me he has experience some of these unknown quantities like Kovac or Pereria are even more of a risk.
