It is bad enough staking our Premier League survival on a huge gamble like Pereira, but he's hardly a long term appointment looking at his record. He doesn't stick around anywhere for too long and no has no apparent experience at building a competitive side in a major league.

Whilst other managers like Lampard come with similar risks about staying up this season, at least there's the caveat that it might lead to better times down the line.
