Vu-feckin-vuzela's - possible ban for them

I don't like them, and hear no crowd atmosphere either, not sure a ban should be enforced though? Even though when a team scores there is just a loud deafening horn blast, sounds like a Wu-Tang attack..

They should be handed out in the family enclosure in goodison to kids for free to get them into the atmosphere of the ground.

They don't bother me at all.

In one of the games today some player got caught in possession and nearly conceded a goal cause he didn't hear the man on shout.

Anyone finding that the constant buzzing noise is actually destroying any atmosphere whilst watching the telly? Also finding myself nodding off during the games as the buzzing just sends me to sleep!

Absolutely hate it, totally destroy the atmosphere disrupt play. Just hate the sound of it on tele.

I agree with the view that these things are killing the atmosphere. We're not hearing chants, we're hearing a swarm of bees. It's terrible - I really dislike them. I don't care if the World Cup is in South Africa and "it's a part of their footballing culture' - this is the WORLD Cup and it should be representative of all of the footballing cultures competing in the competition (bar North Korea, who's people aren't allowed to have any form of enjoyment).

The Vuvuzela's are not bothering me - yet. My only question is instead of trying to ban local custom, why have the broadcasters not found a way to mute the background noise without losing the commentary of local flavour? Broadcast technology not up to the job?
